Go Gold 2020

September is childhood cancer awareness month. Please join us in going gold for children and their families affected by childhood cancer.

This September our Aoife should have been 4 and starting school. Instead we are raising childhood cancer awareness, specifically germ cell cancer, in her loving memory.

Gold, is the colour of childhood cancer. So this September please join us in going gold - please tag us on Facebook or Instagram and hash tag #GoGold - this will help raise key awareness. You can find us by simply searching Aoife's Bubbles, or following our social media handles under our 'how you can help' tab.

As this is our first year of running this campaign, we will be turning Aoife's home town Biggin Hill, in Bromley, GOLD! Please take plenty of photos around town and share them as much as you can, tagging us where possible. We will also be running a sponsor a ribbon/ butterfly fundraising link too.

All money raised from Go Gold 2020 will be dedicated to our collaboration with "The Institute of Cancer Research" on the pioneering e-SMART trial, led by Professor Chesler, researching kinder treatments for children with solid tumours. Giving children a fair chance in the fight for their lives. Currently there are only 4 child approved drugs to treat solid tumours, the same 4 since the same year man landed on the moon. These are adult designed drugs -with this trial we are hoping to find breakthrough targeted treatment options, specifically designed for children, improving long term survival once treatment has been completed.
