The Bubble Hub - Online

The Bubble Hub is a supportive therapy group created by Aoife’s Bubbles Charity for children and their families affected by childhood cancer and our online hub is no different.

Our online group offers a calm, welcoming online space where children can listen and take part in our music therapy which is designed to support emotional wellbeing, confidence and connection with others who may share similar experiences.

These fortnightly sessions are led by an experienced music therapist, Orla Gardner at The Suffolk Music Therapy and shaped around the needs of the children attending, with plenty of flexibility, gentleness and fun. Every session has a different theme, where children have the opportuinty to express which music they would to hear.

At The Bubble Hub, there is no pressure to talk about illness or treatment. Children are free to express themselves in their own way — through interactivity or simply just listening and taking part.

Our aim is to provide a safe “bubble” away from hospitals and appointments, where children can just be children. We welcome children to bring their siblings, close friends or family to our sessions.

The Bubble Hub also offers families reassurance that their child is being supported in a trauma-informed, nurturing environment, with care taken to respect individual needs, boundaries and energy levels.

We are thrilled to be able to launch this session via zoom, available by a safe and secure link, meaning that we are able to provide this session for children all over the UK. This also means that children have the ability to 'drop in' and 'drop out' as and when they feel appropriate.
